Saturday was a full one.

After leaving the house with the camera bag set, a walkabout in NYC is what I call going to visual gym. Be advised, these are not all the best images but…

Met this incredible happy couple who brightened the whole day but : how did I get here?

The day began with a walk over to Rockefeller Center. Nothing spectacular going on so the walk continued.

I always stop into St. Patricks Cathedral as it’s a pretty impressive building.

Stepping back onto 5th avenue, a handmaids tale protest walked by.

Then a quick lunch at Fogo De Chao. All of my socials told me about their incredible all day Happy Hour. A specialty burger, with fries for $12.00. Didn’t disappoint, and the fries were the stars of the show.

With MOMA across the street, it’s my Disneyland (happiest place on earth!)  a walk through the galleries a a definite energizer. Plus a basic membership is one of the best deals in the city.

Stopping into the courtyard to chill, check emails, and consider what photos were captured on the walk.

The next decision was whether to take transit to go to the other end of the city, or walk. You all probably know that photo ops appear sometimes when you least expect it.

A walk it was.

With my camera preset to a proper exposure for that time of day, I started back to home base.

It wasn’t long before I met this lovely couple, brimming with happiness. They exuded it.

I asked if I could take a photo. If I’m interested in a portrait I always ask.

Remember to be polite, engage, and don’t be a jerk.

They made walking option way worth it. Had to post them twice.

Of course there was a street fair. And everyone likes to give the peace sign. I guess better that the alternative.

The point of this post is to share what you can explore in NYC. Not only is there no FOMO here, it is alive!

And remember to keep your visual antennae tuned. You never know what you may discover.
