A new photo project that has a unique viewpoint and a tie to a much bigger picture:
Border Film Project was shown on Friday night (Cinco de Mayo) at Equator books in Venice CA.
The top line is that 500 disposable cameras were giving to people crossing the Mexican border to the US and to the people that patrol that border. Each disposable camera came with a prepaid envelope, addressed back to the project organizers. The images have resulted in a travelling exhibition and website destination.
Take a look at this site and read through the thoughts behind all of this.
In addition the same folks are publishing a hard copy mag, that should deliver its first issue in the fall, with , as we understood, a message of using imagery for the good of the people.

Thanks again to our supporters for the quick responses to last weeekends give away. All went in 30 min!
Stay tuned for more. And tell a friend.

Cheers!
