We’ll be posting the shots of more as we edit our Cannes photo diary.
And this year, more celebrity talent was imported to entertain and educate the delegates.
The biggest draw was Al Gore who gave a brilliant talk on green marketing, and all of the reasons it was a win for the manufacturers, agencies and of course, the planet.
He discussed some of the companies that have already embraced a “green” vision and have been rewarded for the efforts. In essence, by using the advertising communities talents for good, (as opposed to crass commercialism?) the message will spread globally.
Great, passionate speech which won the crowd over, but perhaps I’m a bit jaded, as I thought the ad community already rallied their skills for this and many other important causes around the globe.

The folks at Corbis and Creativity put on what was one of the best events I’ve ever attended at the Lions. Set in an elegant, intimate setting, they brought in John Legend to perform for a lucky ticket holding crowd.

Of course, Mr. Legend also gave some time to be on a panel discussing music use in spots.
In a few hours we’ll learn the final winners of the festival and close out the week with a gala and fireworks.
Cheers!
