Cannes, cameraphones, and Getty Images.
What a combo.
First off though:
Seemed like a good idea while walking back to the apartment. The glacee had just been put into the case (at midnight??) with representative fruit to further explain the flavor.
Only camera on me was the cell phone. A blackberry pearl. But the creamy delights looked sooooo good. I had to make an image.
That’ll teach me to use a lens cloth even on the phone.
Perhaps in a pinch it works. Or to capture a photo of a friend so when the phone rings , a smiling face is looking back at you announcing the preferred caller. But barely useful in our opinion.
One of our readers, Mahesh, has had way better luck. check out his GALLERY page.
Now tomorrow we will be attending the Cannes Lions in earnest. Complete with pics an videos.
As an appetizer, Getty Images has a strong presence here and they have an exhibit called “Tasting The Limits” on display in front of the Palais where the rest of the screenings and events occur.
Basically each image has a strong visual intending to incite you on some level.
The questing becomes: where are YOUR limits? The public is invited to leave written messages on the walls of the show.
We’ll be at their seminar explaining this all. Stand by.
Cheers!
