Still Time to get your MOPLA on LA!
April showers bring…well, a ton of photographic activity in Los Angeles.
One of the most passionate supporters, collectors, gallery owners, and creator of the LUCiE awards. Mr Hossein Farmani, has created a month long celebration of the photographic arts in Los Angeles, called MOPLA.
Executive producer Cat Jimenez and her team, have once again put together a stellar program of events throughout the city.
With exhibitions, lectures, seminars, and one of the finest photo auctions in town, MOPLA has become a new reason to hang in LA for the month of April.
And sure it’s the 22nd, but there is a ton of events going on still and the crescendo starts tomorrow night with a sneak peak at Fresh Fair, a mini gallery showing, with some previews of the upcoming photo auction.

We just looked and there are about 26 events still to come, and each day can fill your photographic cup.
If you are a working photographer, collector, or simply a lover of the photographic arts, you will find something to fit your interest, in this unique city wide event.
It started with producer Sarah Cho shining a spotlight at the Frank Gallery at Bergamot Station, in the beginning of the month
And it will probably end with you getting a new perspective on the medium you love: photography.
We are all about supporting the art, and anyone who who puts their money, blood, sweat and tears to spread the passion for power of the still image to this fair city.
Hossein farmani, who created the LUCIES awards, a prestigious yearly award show, held at Lincoln Center in NYC , honoring the finest in the world of photography, we salute you.
And thank you for MOPLA.
