Annenberg Space for Photography Celebrates 1 Year Anniversary with Water: Our Thirsty World Exhibit
Crazy, right?
The year has flown by, and this photographic addition to the Los Angeles Landscape, has been serving our community with free lectures, slide shows, seminars and exhibits, all housed in a very cool space in Century City.
The Annenberg Space for Photography’s latest show has them teamed up with another powerhouse, National Geographic Magazine for an exhibit entitled Water: Our Thirsty World.
The photographs explore water from all angles, not only as a precious resource, but as a part of human spirituality.
Chris Jones, Editor In Chief of the magazine, let’s us in on the background of the exhibit and the special April 2010 issue of the magazine entitled…well..Water.
Even the walls of the space have been painted with a very subtle blue and wave-like pattern in the hallway.
Make sure you stay for the video on the entire program playing in the main circular hall of the Space.

This cute little turtle looks like it’s smiling.
But it isn’t.
It is nearing extinction, but thanks to Conservation Fisheries, Inc. research into it’s native water pollutants, may find a way to save the species.
Come visit the Annenberg Space for Photography and wish it a happy birthday.
The exhibit is on from March 27th 2010- June 13, 2010
