Weekly Giveaway – Stay mobile, my friends
And by that we mean that you should be able to transport your files between the places you travel, even when it’s just between your home and office. Sure, that includes when your home IS your office.
One thing that always travels with us is a jump drive.
Known by many names: thumb drive, USB drive, flash drive, basically it is a very easy way to copy files from one computer to another.
And since the capacity is growing, you can actually carry your presentations, vids, portfolios or whatever on your keychain.
One thing we’ve used them for is as an overview of photoinduced.com for advertisers, and it includes video, articles, case studies, etc.
We still get DVD’s but we generally don’t give em.
It is so much cooler, and yes, we know, reusable, to hand a perspective client a USB drive.
As a tool, we frequently transfer large files back and forth between our laptop, and the office desktop.
On the road we’re working away on photos and vids, triple backing up,and then on the return to home base, ingest it all to the motherload.
A large capacity flash drive has made it so much faster and easier.
And that’s what we have for the weekly giveaway this week:Lexar 16 GB JumpDrive Retrax,
16GB will hold a ton of materials on your key chain. The Retrax name came about from the retractable capless design.
Much more better.
And you know we have incredible faith in the Lexar brand. Never, ever, crashed on us.
Pick up one of these from us here. It’s one of those tools you really need in the photog toolbox.
We know it’s not the sexiest gift you could get or give but, trust on this, you need it.
