Funny, well laid out, and jam packed with perfect info.
Not much in the life is perfect , I know.
2 instructional books have made me go WOW this year and I do not hesitate to recco either.

The Digital Photography Book – Scott Kelby written by a photoshop master, is a must-have book for not just the beginner, but the advanced amateur.
(Does anyone liked to be called an amateur? Perhaps enthusiast is a more apt phrase.)
Well, here is a softbound book chock full of brilliant ideas doled out in bite-sized morsels. Easy to grasp, easy to swallow.
And great info.
Scott has laid out this book in almost a flash-card set up . Remember those math cards? One problem per card? That how this is: One problem (or perhaps solution) per page in all of the following subjects:
Ch. 1 Pro tips for getting really sharp photos
Ch. 2 Shooting flowers like a pro
Ch. 3 Shooting weddings like a pro
Ch. 4 Shooting landscapes like a pro
Ch. 5 Shooting sports like a pro
Ch. 6 Shooting people like a pro
Ch. 7 Avoiding problems like a pro
Ch. 8 Taking advantage of digital light like a pro
Ch. 9 Taking travel & city life shots like a pro
Ch. 10 How to print like a pro and other cool stuff
Ch. 11 Photo recipes to help you get “the shot”
Don’t get me wrong: there is more than one thing covered in each category. It’s a 219 page softbound book.
If you own a digital camera, and are pretty sure you are not getting everything you should get out of it, (most of us)
this is a very small price to pay for some expert advice.
And if you are the,…..hmmm….9th person to email dated the 9th, you get one of these books for free.
Send an email ,subject line “Kelby”, a shipping address to :[email protected] and there you have it.
Ho,Ho,Ho.
And tomorrow we’ll talk about our other favorite instructional book this year : “Digital Photography for Busy Women”
different style, many different subjects, just as great.
And some more giveaways. Can you guess what it they may be?
Am I that transparent ?
oh well.
And remember we are happy to turn you on to these books , and give some away, but you should really check them them out for a buy. Money well spent. A good way to supplement those 1/2″ think manuals.
Cheers!
