Holiday Gift Guide 2024 – On The Road Again!
Seems like three will be record breaking traveling going on this season, and next year will see even more!
We are back on the road!
Be prepared!
One of my favorite ways to keep all of my tech goodies together is the Peak Design Tech Pouch.
With the right amount of dividers and pocket, this one pouch will hold all you need for a trip.
Cables, batteries, hub, SSD drives, and anything else you may need, all separated and in its place for easy access.
For the trip, especially on a plane, a must have is the AirFly SE. This is a blue tooth adaptor for your headphones, so you can watch your movies on the plane without wires! There are a few models in the line-up so you can choose battery life, sharing options, etc.
When I fly, this unit is in my headphone case, charged and ready, and paired with the headset.
I no longer use ear buds on a plane because that one time one fell out of my ear, and I crawled on my hands to find it 8 rows down, cured me of that.
This just works.
Speaking of over ear headsets, there are 2 I recco:
Recently came upon the Soundcore Q20i over ear, noise canceling headphones by Anker When you see the price, you will be shocked! on sale at BH now for $40.
With a long-lasting battery, well designed app that allows you to customize your listening, and it’s a great sounding headset!
Then, my usual has been the Sony WH-1000Xm5 over ear, headset.
Solid unit, well, built, great case, 30 hour runtimes with ANC, about $300. Like we used to say, Sony, No Baloney! Excellent sound!
Hmmm…some choices, right?
Once you get to your destination, and it’s time to get some shut eye, and recharge your devices, my favorite multi charger is the Anker 3-In-1 cube with MagSafe. Hands down, this one wins this year.
It has a pop-out charger for your watch, especially good if you have a bracelet and not a flat band, although good for either.
The top angles up to charge your phone vertical or horizontal, and now that iPhones have the clock function on the phone when in sleep mode, you are set!
By the way you know there are choices on what kind of asleep clock you use.
AND, right behind the phone charger is a charger for your air pods.
I have tried at least 5 units in the category is this is the winner.
Honestly it the phone option, which I use all the time, even at home, that was a key feature.
Of course, it’s a USB-C connection.
The Anker slim 10,000 mAh battery is a great travel unit, and you may want to carry the Scosche super fast dual charging hub, with one of their new USB-C cables.
More to come tomorrow!
