PhotoPlus Expo 2015 Has Left the Building….
Till next year, anyway.
So why would you go to an event like this?
You can buy your gear online from any number of places.
You can hear photographers speak on youtube.
You can learn incredible an amount of photo skills through way to many media formats. Not all great but, searchable.
This is why: Personal Interaction.
When you look at a new camera, why not have the manufacturer answer all of your questions?
I may have posted news about a new Canon camera, but until I held it, had no idea about the size and handling.
Is that new camera bag measured the way you really need it? Or would a different size better suit your needs?
Is saving a ton of dough on show specials meaningful to you without shipping costs?
Maybe you’ll see some new gear, not yet released and know if it really is something you want.
Or discover something you have seen, like the new LED light, that peaks your interest and creativity?
How about the intensity of a great photographic teacher, sponsored by a brand, who is there to answer your questions right then?
Maybe just seeing the passion that these photographers bring while speaking about what they do, is palpable in person like it never is online.
And maybe, just maybe, you’d like to hang with a group of like minded folks? meeting new friends and seeing those who are repeat visitors?
You know, I started this site 10 years ago to try to bring some info and insight to folks who may not be able to get to some of the live events. That was me. I was always too busy to get away. I try to make videos that i want to see. Some are upcoming from this years event
But as much as I would like you to continue to come here, facebook, youtube, and twitter for the immediate updates, I encourage you all to make it to one of the live events.
Photoplus Expo, Photoshop World, Local Store in store events, and all of it. It may bring you closer to the community and I promise you, there is value in it.
