PMA -2009: Day 1 (or is it 2?)
OK, it’s the first official day of the PMA photography event, complete with 2 floors of booths, displays, teaching seminars, and schmoozing. Yesterday was all of the sneak previews.

There we some meetings we had showing coming products that we can’t say a word about yet, some with products that are just about to hit the stores, and some that have been out but we somehow missed them.
We have a ton of video shot and ready to edit and post, but we want to give you a preview taste. Yum.
So here is the second day of pics of just a few of the things we saw:
There are NEW HOLGA CAMERAS!!
Sorry, was that our outside voice?

Well, we were completely jazzed to see some 3D and Panoramic 120 Film Holgas, plus some new lines that are limited editions.

The Crumpler folks did not disappoint with a new line of sweet bags with a “silent velcro” feature. Awesome for those quiet moments. (this is just a pick of some wallets with the classic logo)
We are honestly on a search for the best choice for a suit jacket camera. Small, elegant, fits nicely in your jacket without that unsightly bulge. We’ll give up RAW, but need a good processor.

Here is the Canon SD780 IS, with a matte black finish, although you have a choice of some colors.

The designer of the best workroom on location (packs small, plays big), Mike Sturm of ThinkTank photo was on hand to pose and do a nice video illustrating the goods.
It is a little quieter this year, as we are seeing traffic on the floor. However most of these products were prepped way before the economic shift.
Some good new stuff out there.
