One of our favorite things to peruse and selectively support are tech and camera related projects on Kickstarter.
This site gives folks the opportunity to brings their dreams to the public and crowd source funding.
Basically the projects submitted do a pitch video, a write and then have various levels of investment.
It is a time sensitive situation, and the financial goal to reach must be done by a certain specified end date. If the money raised does not reach the goal, no one is out any money.
What do you get out of it?
It can range anywhere from a thank you in a book, on-line, or on screen, to an actual usable product.
We found the Triggertrap many months ago and watched a they made progress. And watched. and watched.
They keep up with email communications with the investors.
Please note that with these “fundings” you generally don’t own a piece of the company, but are renumerated in different ways.

The trigger trap is a remote way to well, trigger your camera to fire.
And they these good folks behind went further. They designed a killer app. It does way more than just press the shutter.
Check out the video.

These are available to the public now!

So why get in on these type of things in the gestation period? As early investors, we saved a ton on the original unit, and as a gesture in kind for our support, giving us all of the dongles we need for the app.

Can’t wait to test and bring you a real world review.
