PhotoPlus Expo 2010 has left the building! Let’s take another look around:

It was a shorter walk around the floor but that just makes us think there could be hidden gems we could miss.
Oh, we know stuff was missed, but what can you do?
Shoot video, which is what we did.
Many of the products will be featured in upcoming videos on photoinduced.com, giving you a closer look and hopefully, we asked the question that matter to you.
Remember: these are not reviews, nor an endorsement of a product. Once we work with them, we’ll post a real world review.

From Wiebe, a portable hard drive with removable 2.5″ dual drives. We just want to check out the heat sink on this one.

A poor man’s NAS, but at $99.00 you get to access all of your office on your laptop/iPhone.

Lot’s more photo’s below:

Bruce Dorn and IDC came up with a sweet rig for shooting vidw ith your DSLR. Can you make out the layers? Hint: the rear portion is a monitor.

Delkin has the dual purpose dual charger, which while small can charge 2 kinds of batts at once.

Gary Fong came sans booth this year, but this new rig for point and shoots, with capabilities to use as a macro stand, is very cool.
Wait till you see the video.

Hands on is the best way to decide on a camera and everyone was picking em up.

In a brilliant marketing move, this company makes these backdrops:

and was giving away these bags to EVERYONE even if they weren’t buying drops. They were all over the trade show.

Lensbaby had the new Scout plus more.

And the good folks from Aperture were signing up subscriptions. You really should get this one in hard copy.

ThinkTank was previewing their latest in the Sling Bag category

Kris Krosskove explained why the Olympus PEN series were used in the making of the movie “Secretariat”

Yep, view cameras and big sheets of film still exist. Thanks Kodak! Heck we’re about to shoot some 4×5 B&W oursleves.

Cliff Mautner had a huge crowd over at the Nikon booth

Joby Gorillapods had some great tools that every shooter needs.

Speed Keys from Kubota looked cool, but we need some more hands on time with this one. Shortcuts you program for Lightroom and CS5 and then you have it all at your fingertips.

And nothing beats free stuff: calendars, lens cloths, flashlights, and chances to win bigger products.
Raffles all over, and the crowds came.
We highly recommend these events to really see the gear up close, and see what the software can do. Invest well.

There are a lot more items that we DON”T tell you about, trust us.
We check em out and then figure out what may appeal. There are some things that we see that make no sense to us, but sure are packaged nice.
Hopefully we can help be a guide through the gear.
