Daily Giveaway #4 – OK, how about a cool camera..Anyone?

( Winner of yesterdays NEWSLETTER giveaway, the Edward Weston Documentary with 5×7 original print portrait is: Catherine G. of Burlingame,CA.-Congratulations!)
[photopress:holgacamera.jpg, full, centered] This is a classic of cool. The Holga. with a rich history and a definitive place in the world of photography, this scrappy (did I say that??) little plastic camera is todays freebie.

Known for it’s faults, it has captured the hearts of shooters everywhere.
The instructions even point out the places to put black electrical tape to secure the light leaks.
Or not.

A keystone of the lomographic society, ” Don’t think, Just shoot “, this does come in a variety of flavors: plain, with flash (the freebie) and with color flash. Yum.

You can max it out with a variety of lens attachments, or trick flashes, but take it for a spin first.

Very anti-digital, it shoots 120 film and requires 2 AA batts. I’ve had the film processed and the images put on a CD though.
Sorry, love the digital workflow. But the image….ahhh the image…that can be it’s own thing.

Wait…what was that?

You think there should be more? OK,ok we’ll throw in a Giottos mini tripod. Fine, AND a photoinduced.com lens cloth. Sheesh!

So here is how it works:

Rules and regs:When you spot the item, (um, you just did) …..send an email to damonw@photoinduced.com.
stating the name of the item (we’ll be generous with specifics), how you will use the item (be creative) and what your favorite section of photoinduced.com is. And most importantly, a shipping address.
One item will be won each day, Monday through Friday.
DVD’s,Books, Camera Gear, Camera, and more.

That’s how you enter, how do you win? The best answers will be picked and awarded.Winner will be announced on the FORUM at the end of each day.

And how about whomever wins submits their photos to the Gallery? Cool?

C’mon and hang with the plastic! You may get the bug. The Holga bug.

Cheers!
