Weekly Giveaway – Let’s lighten things up a bit, Ok?

This summer has seen some incredible exhibits go up, based on the power of the still image, capturing the human condition in war, poverty, over population, revolution, avarice, self indulgence, and more.
We humans can be pretty ugly sometimes, and the camera can capture it all, especially in the hands of an artist who has a message to impart.
With that in mind, we just needed to change the flavor for a moment.
Which brings us to Elliott Erwitt.
One of the classic books in photography, “Personal Exposures”, always changes our mood when the day has brought on the harsh light of a different reality.
The playful, ironic, imagery of Mr. Erwitt’s work is a direct reflection of the man, himself. A dry humor, appearing to take himself not very seriously. In an interview we did with him a few years back, he called his artwork, his hobby.
Woah. He is darn good at his hobby.
Even his web site touts “life-like snaps”
So in the interest of lightening up your world a bit this summer, we are giving away one copy of that book.
If you are a current subscriber to our Free NEWSLETTER, you are eligible to enter to win it.
If you aren’t, you may want to subscribe by tonight for the drawing on this particular item.

And don’t forget his other books, also Personal Best
,Dogs, New York, and tons more.
A Magnum photographer, you have to get familiar with this masters work.
And if you already are, one of these books is probably a favorite.
For us, it’s Personal Best.

So in the interest of lightening up, we bring you Elliott Erwitt.
