Time Magazine has a new version of the iPad Magazine, so get your skill sets in order!

It truly is a game changer for the publishing world.
The iPad has shown a new potential depth to magazines, with an interactive experience in your hands like no other.
Of course, every manufacturer is now racing to release their tablet PC’s so get ready.
Can you say Zune?
But what does it mean to photographers?
Take a look at this demo:

please note: this video replaces the most current demo of Time magazine. They have pulled the video from youtube for some unknown reason )

The narrator at one point speaks about the original “video footage captured by Time photographers” which speaks volumes about the gear capabilities we have now, and perhaps the expectations of the magazine editors.
And the $5 dollar a week price point?
Never gonna fly.
Can a photog charge any more if the image is now on a tablet, (highly doubtful) and if you are shooting and ad for iPad (or any other tablet PC) is there an additional fee for your models? ( it will probably fall under an internet usage fee) But what if it moves? More ad agencies are asking still shooters to shoot video.
A whole new world just opened up and we’ll see where it all falls out.

We are looking at the iPad now and will do a review on the capabilities and usage for photogs.

Coming soon: vid interviews with the art buyers/producers that you’ll be doing business with and their perspectives on the situation.
