Weekly Giveaway – A Walk in the Woods

It doesn’t HAVE to be a walk in the woods. It could be packed for travel, ready to put into your car.
But the legacy of the LowePro line up, what we think the brand is about, is designing the best outdoor photographers camera bags.

We have gotten into this discussion before: the right bag for the right job.

And dare I say, the best thing to do, if you can, is to take the gear you want to transport, go to your local photography dealer and find out what truly will be the best fit for you.

Yep, fill the pockets, try the dividers, and most importantly, try it on.

I know if you can’t do that, try to lay out your gear, and maybe take an approx.measurement of the bag in question. Honestly, many of these companies will answer an email from you regarding the right size for the gear you are transporting.
If you don’t get an answer, let us know. We’ll help.

From Lowepro, we have a Vertex 100 AW to giveaway this week.[photopress:Vertex100_left_L.jpg,full,centered]

Ok, go to the site, read up on this one, check out our VIDEO PMA 2007 2/5 , or the YouTube version describing it, and go to your local camera store and try it on.

What we found impressive were the shoulder straps, extremely comfortable on the back, all of the pockets were where they should be ( I always have to remember what is IN which pocket ) room for a small laptop, strong handle for carrying by ….well, your hand.

There is a unique feature with a glide lock that will help you secure and rest your monopod into a kind of cup holder for tripods.

Jury is still out here as we have not gone on a trek with a tripod secured in this deal.
But you can go for a more traditional strapping or side loop if you prefer.

And , thinking about the thirst in the woods, there is a place for a water bottle on the side.NIce.

Solid bag from a company that has been taking care of you in the wild for years.
