Today’s installment features:
Crumpler Bags, originally know for sweet messenger bags, these folks reputations have skyrocketed in the world of quality camera bags. Ben Richards may be one of the most entertaining pitchman we’ve seen. Too much fun.
From Made Products, the same folks who brought you Camera Armor are some useful new tools for point-and-shoots. This system is not available for a couple of months.
Next up is Xshotpix, essentially a telescoping pole that holds a lightweight camera for self portraits, or shots above the crowd.

So over the past days you’ve seen a bunch of different camera bag companies. Now quite honestly, each one has it merits and specific uses. The best thing for you to do is lay out what gear you need to transport, visit you local dealer, perhaps with a photo and list of that gear, and match the bag to your own personal style. One of the main things to be aware of is your shooting style and access to gear. Many shooters I know demand that easy access and easy “put away”. You may prefer to take most of the gear out, shoot , then return to the bag for storage and transport.

Through the years I’ve owned a variety of bags. From a variety of companies. Once again: right tool,right job.

A big thing we’re hearing about is veryone with the tiny point-and-shoots, asking for smaller bags and better protection.The Photo industry heard that and is responding.

There was one very cool item that was somehow identical in a few booths. It was a silicon rubber covering for the point-and-shoot digitals cameras. It seemed like they came out of the same factory, with different genesis stories.

Good product, but we decided not to to feature in the videos because we’re not sure who’s brilliance to celebrate.
