“My friends like my photos, maybe it’s time to show the world”

I know what you’re saying:

“you’ve told us about some great galleries and events. Oh sure, then you give away books to help inspire and feed our senses.
But you didn’t stop there..oh.no…then you gave away free gear .To top it off..DVD’s to help us make our own photographs as good as they can be”

I think that’s what you’re saying. Maybe not.

Well we’re not done. Here are some great contests to share your work. And maybe get published in a book.

You know why we are helping promote this ?

This organization doesn’t just have contests. They have assignments. That concept has always been near and dear to my own photography and is a great motivator to the goal oriented person in me. you may find it an inspiring guide for your shooting.

Now here are some good contests from doubleexposure.com

The info:

In our March 1, 2007 issue of Double Exposure, we will run a how-to story in our “Double Exposure Challenge” on shooting portraits. We are looking for readers’ images to illustrate this feature. You can photograph adults, children, individuals, groups, wedding couples—anything that spells out great portraiture to you.

You don’t have to be a member of PHOTOWORKSHOP.COM to enter this competition. If your image is chosen, it will appear in the “Portraiture” story or in an accompanying gallery, and if you are a member of PHOTOWORKSHOP.COM, we’ll extend your membership by 3 months. If you’re not a member, we’ll give you an introductory PHOTOWORKSHOP.COM membership for 3 months.

By entering this contest, we are also offering an opportunity to be published. We’ll consider some of the best entries for inclusion in a new book, which will feature some of the best work by PHOTOWORKSHOP.COM members and readers of Double Exposure.

Our Requirements
As with our previous monthly Double Exposure Challenge contests, you can submit up to five of your best entries. They must be jpegs, 500 or 600 pixels on either side, and 72 to 100 dpi. (We would rather work with images that are too large, rather than too small.) Submit your entries by CLICKING HERE.

The deadline for “Portrait” entries is Thursday, February 22, 2007.”

Check it out. More contest news in the coming weeks.

Cheers!
