By the way, I went to the Brooklyn Museum yesterday and the Annie Leibowitz exhibit is one not to be missed.
But you knew that.

An incredibly emotional show, there is a power in the large portraits that is palpable. The political images belie a deeper, inescapable, haunting truth. I still have one in particular burned in my brain.

Her personal journey with family and loved ones, is a revelation of spirit and honesty that, for me, was a new layer in Ms. Leibowitz’s work that was the strongest thread in the show.

There is also an excerpt from the new documentary of her life made by her sisters, coming soon to PBS. A welocme compliment to the exhibit.

Perhaps most overwhelming is the two walls filled with the rough prints and chronologically revealing photographs, depicting the genesis of the book.

If you are in NYC, take the 2 train out to Brooklyn. You will be happy you did.

And next week, we’ll have some more great things to giveaway.
Make sure you sign up on the mailing list so you can get the weekly giveaway email.

Cheers!
